This is perhaps one of the most misunderstood passages in the Bible. For example someone I was talking to about Jesus quoted some verses from the Sermon on the Mount and made application to himself. But, the man was not a Christian. This sermon is specifically for his disciples. It is only people who are trusting Jesus for forgiveness from sin can address God as Father.
