This is perhaps one of the most misunderstood passages in the Bible. For example someone I was talking to about Jesus quoted some verses from the Sermon on the Mount and made application to himself. But, the man was not a Christian. This sermon is specifically for his disciples. It is only people who are trusting Jesus for forgiveness from sin can address God as Father. Jesus is the one who gives those who trust in him the right, the privilege, to call God Father. This sermon shows what a true Christian is and how a true Christian should live.

Don't imagine that you have a sin that is too big for God to deal with. There is no sin too big or too small for God to forgive. However, God's word is very clear - he that believeth not is condemned already. It really is not a good thing for you to not believe that God sent his only begotten Son into the world to pay the price for your sin.

Passage: Luke 4:31-37
Duration: 22 mins 18 secs
It was the regular practice of Jesus to attend worship. Some Christians are not particularly consistent with church attendance. However, we spend six days in the things of this world and so we need time with the Lord's people to detox and be refreshed by the Word of God. Also, meeting together is a time for mutual encouragement. Jesus spoke with power, but then met opposition and so will we. Let the message be clear - all who trust in Christ will have life.
