A man had been healed in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter and John were under arrest, how would they respond?

If you cherry pick verses, you will lose the full view of what Scripture teaches. We need to use both a microscope to see the details and a wide angle lens to see the full picture. In these three parables, Jesus is teaching us to prepare for his second coming.

The prophet questioned the priests and so brought them to confess the truth of the law. Bad contaminates good. The people were building the temple, but with wrong attitudes. Repentence would lead to blessing.

God's law is clear - you are told to love God with your whole being and your neighbour as yourself. But that is something that none of us can do. In me dwelleth no good thing. God's law does not make us good. Rather it shines a bright light and exposes our sins. It shows us what we really are - natural born sinners. Do you see yourself in the light of God's law? Have you seen the grace of God? It abounds much more than our sin.
