Rightly dividing the word of truth not only means cutting a straight line through Law and Gospel but more generally, it means teaching and preaching the whole counsel of God accurately without twisting it to fit all manner of false doctrines, which ultimately impact negatively on the Gospel of Christ. Premillennial Dispensationalism with its secret Rapture is given as an example of overthrowing the great Christian hope of one future coming of Jesus, one resurrection and one judgment.
